It was a dark and stormy night…actually it was a beautiful Sunday at one of the best patches of concrete in North America for Autocross action. Fresno chapter put out a huge course with some typical, fun elements that had all of us thinking American Auto-X series. Given the possible impending loss of the Winton Ramp site, we wanted to get as many laps in as possible.
EDGE came out in force, but mostly for fun, as none of us are in the points chase with Fresno. Our roster looked something like this:
Erik- 357///Magnum – I was there to shake the car down some more and get used to driving the beast. I ran it for two sessions and let Sean take it out for one, bringing the total runs to 22 without a major incident (please join me in knocking on wood).

Gordon- EDGE Red -- Gordon ran morning and afternoon on the all-important quest for TTD.

Tony- Ran both his STi (we don’t like to talk about it..) and his newly assembled e30. She doesn’t look like much, but she seemed to do pretty well. More development and clean up to come!
Sean- Trappster ran his amazing 328, with newly-installed M3 cams and a tricked out 3.38 differential, courtesy of Rich. The car performed as it always does, flawlessly! In the afternoon session I asked Sean to co-drive with me to get some more runs in the car and see what happened. Crazy kid almost beat me!

Brenda- She has signed on for a season in D-Stock, driving with none other than Rob Luis in his TCKline Double Adjustable 330 ZHP. This car is under development and we expect it to trophy at Nationals in 2007. They are still getting a feel for the car and trying new settings.
Rob- Rob Luis is a former National Champ in Street Modified, and is super fast in anything he drives. He is working on dialing in the aforementioned 330zhp.
Laurie- Yup, my wife actually went out and drove! She did a great job of flogging Sean’s e30 street car around the big course and we hope she comes out to more events. (I got her some cool Puma Speedcats to entice her..)
Elena- Sean’s girlfriend has run in a few BMWCCA events and had a blast in the car this weekend also. One of these days, she is going to get a drive in Sean’s black beast.

John- Johnboy is the man. He ran Sean’s car in the morning and couldn’t catch him. He then got into Gordon’s car and was within a tenth of his time. Just amazing.
Matt Reher- Matt has been a part of the EDGE family for years, and is looking at a co-drive with Rob Luis in the 330ZHP. Matt’s not a huge fan of the Hoosiers they had on the car this weekend and is looking forward to trying out some Kumho’s next time.
Sarah—Tony’s girlfriend is smokin’ fast in both the STi and the e30, and she was having a ball this weekend also.
Sam—Tony’s buddy normally co-drives with him in the S2000 and STi, and this weekend took on the e30 (see the sideways shots!)
Will - EDGE’s newest edition hit the track hard with his e36 on newly-installed TCKline singles. Unfortunately he ran out of time and didn’t align the car. Hmmm, I wonder what Toe-Out in the rear feels like…See the pics for yourself!

Kashif- Kash Money came out with his 540-6speed. What a great car, but a little heavy and under-tired for the event. He had a great time nonetheless and is learning and getting better with every event.
Well, I think I covered almost everyone….Suffice to say that we brought a ton of people with us, everyone had fun, nothing broke and we can’t wait to do it again!
